The Cardano Foundation has recently taken to Twitter to share its performance in the year 2022. They have shared the highlights from the year 2022 that saw them form multiple partnerships.
Also known as a nonprofit organization, the Cardano Foundation is known for being the entity behind the formation of the Cardano blockchain.
Highlights from the Year 2022
As the year 2022 is coming to a close, the officials at the Cardano Foundation are sharing the highlights of the year. They are also glad that despite the downfalls, their blockchain has managed to perform well.
Most importantly, they are glad that they have been able to partner with several projects and companies. Their partnerships have continued increasing throughout the year 2022.
When it comes to the growth of their blockchain, it is on an entirely different level. According to the officials, the growth of their blockchain has been magnanimous throughout the year 2022.
The number of their partnerships has continued rising and they are confident that all of their efforts will pay off in the year 2023.
Partnerships Formed by Cardano Foundation
As per the Cardano Foundation officials, one of their most important partnerships is with the Blockchain Center. The particular company is part of the University of Zurich (UZH BCC).
According to the officials, it is going to be a three-year collaboration between both entities. They will be working together to take initiatives pertaining to education and research based on blockchain.
The Cardano Foundation has partnered with the National Wine Agency of Georgia. The name of the entity is the Bolnisi Winemakers Association and Scantrus.
The purpose of the partnership is to ensure that the Georgian wine’s authenticity and quality are maintained. The entire infrastructure will be based on the Cardano blockchain.
The Cardano Foundation also joined hands with the UN Refugee Agency. The purpose of the partnership was to work with the UNHCR of Switzerland, which is a partner of the UN Refugee Agency.
The CIPs for the Foundation have also experienced a great surge. The number of proposal for the same have surged by 100% in the year 2022.
The Foundation has confirmed that at the moment, they have 155 pull requests, 38 new CIP authors, 20 proposals that are under review, and 50 reviewed proposals.
All of these achievements have been recorded in the year 2022.
Huge Growth of the Blockchain Network
The Cardano Foundation also shared the massive growth that the Cardano blockchain has witnessed in the year 2022.
The number of scripts for Plutus has surged tremendously compared to the year 2021. The data shows that compared to the year 2021, the number of Plutus scripts has surged by 394%, standing at 4,445.
As for the native tokens on the Cardano blockchain, they have crossed the 7.3 million benchmark. This shows that compared to the year 2021, the number of native tokens has surged by 192%.
The minting policies on their protocol have increased tremendously as well. The report shows that the year-over-year increase they have witnessed for minting is 69%, pushing the number of mints to 66,950.
Compared to the year 2021, the total number of transactions they have achieved so far in the year 2022 is 56.9 million. On a year-over-year scale, the transaction figure has surged by 139%.
The number of wallets has also increased on the Cardano blockchain by 47%, compared to the past year. At the moment, the total Cardano wallets are sitting at 3.80 million.
As for the delegated wallets, their number has also increased significantly. The report shows that a 27% growth has been witnessed for the delegated wallets and they now stand at 1.24 million.
Cardano is also working on multiple projects that are yet to be launched. As per the officials at the Cardano Foundation, a total of 1,151 projects is still under development on their blockchain.
