Dogecoin is not just a popular currency on the internet and social media forums. The meme coin has attracted the attention of independent developers just as much. Recently, a group of developers not associated with the Dogecoin Foundation have launched a new digital wallet product for iOS users. The application is currently available for only Apple Inc. products users.
The wallet is useful for Dogecoin holders who want to keep their meme tokens with them at all times. The application was much appreciated by the Dogecoin founder Billy Markus. Markus introduced the application approvingly on his Twitter account and claimed it was surprisingly easy to use. The wallet is non-custodial, which means that users have full autonomy over their Doge reserves.
MyDoge Wallet
The publishers of the MyDoge Wallet application recently issued a press release to share more details about the project. According to the developers, the meme coin wallet was currently compatible with Apple smartphones, tablets, and MAC books. The software engineer also implied that the wallet supports iOS version 12.0 and MacOS 11.0 and above.
The Mac owners with an M1 chip can also use the product easily. The developers further explained that they wanted to increase the daily transaction volume of the meme currency. The developers also claimed that the Dogecoin community would have a space to find like-minded peers and friends with whom they can conduct business, send gifts, and interact in general.
Dogecoin-Related Products are Increasing
The core Dogecoin developer Ross Nicoll recently retired from his position, claiming that there was too much pressure and stress related to the position. He also claimed that he desired to eliminate any possibility of conflict of interest. Meanwhile, in the current year, the number of Dogecoin-related products like applications, payment APIs, and other software is increasing in number.
One such project was the Dogecoin tip bot that was introduced on popular cryptocurrency groups on Reddit and Twitter. Meanwhile, the developers from the Dogecoin Foundation recently claimed that they are currently working alongside Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin to help the Ethereum network transfer from PoW to PoS consensus.
